The story of Mr Turtle

 The story of Mr Turtle

One dark and cloudy night, Mr Turtle was swimming in the bay cruising around looking for some tasty jellyfish to munch on, but then he hit a blunt rock. Turtles have very hard shells so he didn’t really feel it. Now he realized how close he was to the shore but he could see how to get back. Soon the tide started to go out and Mr Turtle was freaking out because he couldn't find his way back. There were too many big rocks in the way and then very soon he was stuck. He couldn't move and he was getting hungry. Mr Turtle was in trouble. A few hours go by and it's nearly morning when a shadowy figure stops in front of Mr turtle, very soon this thing picks him up and takes him over to the lighthouse nearby. As they get closer he notices that the thing holding him was a lady no more in her early 20’s. She lays him down by the lighthouse and soon notices all the cuts and scrapes all over his body, she soon runs off and comes back with a white ball of something and a bottle with a weird-looking liquid. She opens the bottle and rubs it all over the wounds, then raps them in the white material. Then it hits him with medicine and badges. She soon took him to a place where he could stay till the sun came up but Mr Turtle was so tired he fell asleep right away. When the sun rose the kind lady took him to a place where he could swim out to sea safely. Mr Turtle will never forget what she did for him that day. Thank you for reading i hope you liked it.

My Reflective Writing

My Reflective Writing

Intro. In the new Manukura classroom, we have been asked to do reflective writing about how the class has been going, so in this piece of writing, I will be talking about a few topics and how I think about them.

P1. To me, the purpose of this class is to have a safe place for us and a place where we can go out of our comfort zones and do more than we would want to do in front of our original classmates. Another purpose of the class would be to make the learning fun for us and to make it entertaining what we are learning. At the moment I’m able to keep up my work and submit it on time which is much better than how I was in my old class where I struggled to get it in on time and it would be only the bare minimum amount of work but in the Manukura class it’s far better and finished on time.

P2. Before I started the morning Manukura in the morning I didn’t like school and only came to see my friends, but one day my older brother came to me and asked if I wanted to go with him to Manukura so he dragged me along and I loved it I felt like I could be myself but it was just a good environment for me to be there. Manukura changed how I looked at things and gave me a reason to come to school and to be the best I could be. At some point in the day, Sam Ward will have to leave and teach another class so we are left to work by ourselves some people have trouble staying on task but for me, I’m able to stick to what I have to do and being respectful to others around me but at points I could sway of task and have a small talk to a friend. I do have some pros and cons about the class. Some pros are we get a generous amount of time to finish our work and we have the choice to do it in our own time, and the class is a safe place and we can all be in a comfortable place where everyone is included, and I really like that we quite a bit of freedom with the work that has been assigned to us, also it’s cool that all the work is easy to access for students and parents. Now some of the cons are that we are all boys that liked P.E but we can’t go to P.E so it’s a bummer that we don’t have P.E anymore, some worries the students have are that we are behind the other classes in the academic principles and credits we could get, but sometimes the trust we get is taken advantage of which makes it seem like we are not giving Sam the respect he deserves for giving us this chance to be in a space that we can learn the ways we like want too.

P3. Something I think we could do to improve the Manukura workspace is to have more physical activities like going outside and having a small run around every now and then, some more things we could do is to be stricter on things especially when Sams isn’t there so we could assign a well-trusted student to lead the class and make sure they're on task. We could also do a little bit more paperwork so we are not on devices all the time and it could mean we are paying more attention to what’s going on. Last but not least we could treat/acknowledge those that do the work and it's done nicely. Some important things I have noticed over the past four weeks is that this space is a place where we can do so much that we wouldn’t dare do in our old class. We all can be comfortable around each other in this class and it's good for us to have that sort of place at this age.

Conclusion. I can proudly say that this class is amazing. It's really good for me mentally and physically, I can't wait for next year when I’ll have this class for the whole year. I just want to say a big thank you to Sam for the hours of work he put into this class. I hope you enjoy reading the many works I have put down.

Just a note there are 757 works so hope you had fun.

My Inspiring Leader

my inspiring leader is Mother Teresa. She is an outstanding leader saving so many people's lives and making them better mentally and physically. I choose Mother Teresa because I watched a documentary about her and I was really fasanated about what she had done in her life time and the impacted she made in the world.

My Leadership Circle

I am the Initiator because I am a confident, bold dreamer, and I can take charge of social situations. I will share thoughts about matters I'm working on. Some of the strengths that stick out to me are taking charge of situations when needed, trusting intuition and the ability to improvise, and searching for opportunities to grow. a few weaknesses I have are I may have a difficult time staying focused on one task, I have trouble following consistent, predictable routines, and I may resist formal structures and rules. places I can use my skills are at school, and sports. The way I can show my strengths and weaknesses at school is by stepping up to things and taking charge but for weaknesses, I can't focus for too long on one task and I don't like constant routines, for sports I make sure everyone is where they need to be and doing what they have to do, another strength is I improvise to what I need to do for the team, some weaknesses are that I can get to controlling or too distant. At the end of the day I agree with me being the Initiator.
